Pay It Forward
(Franklin, North Carolina, USA)
I loved this simple, yet deep movie. This movie sends a powerful message and one that applies to everyone. It is a story of how a simple grade school assignment changed a boys life and in turn changed the lives of those around him, as well as people all across the country, over time. A young boy whose parents are both mentally unstable is assigned to come up with an idea that will change the world and he has to act on it. It tenderly shows us how the act of helping another can have lasting and far reaching effects on many other people, regardless of one's status in this life.
The concept of the movie is brilliant and really gives you something to think about. The movie ending is bittersweet, and adds depth to the entire story. It is a movie you will not soon forget and one that has no doubt, inspired many random acts of kindness. If there is a movie that copy cats go for, I hope it is this one.
