Are you wondering how to get confidence about yourself and about reaching your own goals and dreams? It’s not unusual for people today to lack confidence since they are often taught at an early age to doubt themselves and to doubt their abilities, and when they face personal or professional setbacks, this too can make them lose confidence. A person can also be guilty of self-destructive behaviors that erode their confidence, such as repeating negative sayings to themselves or holding on to negative thoughts.


Learning how to get confidence is not difficult, but it does take some work. Using the Law of Attraction can help in this regard. If you've been "practicing" uncertainty all your life, know that you can consciously change that and start practicing better habits.


The Law of Attraction says that like attracts like, so if you want to have confidence in your life, you need to surround yourself with things that will bring confidence to you. You also need to put confidence out into the world, as the more positive energy you put into the universe, the more positive things you will get back.


Consider some quick tips on building confidence and on using the Law of Attraction specifically to help you do this. Learn how to get confidence so you have the courage to do the things you truly love and enjoy. 


How to Get Confidence - 
Pay Attention to the Following Things:



Be yourself. Accept yourself.


Be the person you are, in every situation. Practice being yourself, don't try to be somebody else. Don't be afraid of making mistakes.


Why are we so afraid of other people's opinions?


The basic need we all have is to be loved and accepted. We may feel that other people don't accept us.


Too many people use too much time wondering what others think of them. This is very common. Guess what? Most people are too busy thinking about their own things, so they never come to think of the things about you that you think they do...!


How do you think and react in different situations? Get to know your own thoughts, and then take such action that feels good to you.


Don't fight against something, but be for something positive.


This way you focus your energy on different things. For example, if you know that you have some irritating habits you want to get rid of, acknowledge and accept them. Then start working on changing those habits.


If you have poor self esteem and lack confidence, you've been practicing being that person, as well. Unconsciously, yes, but still you've been practicing. Until now.




Learn confident thoughts.


Often people don’t have confidence because they don’t have confident thoughts. Since confidence comes from within, part of learning how to get confidence is learning how to think. Consider carefully the thoughts you have in your head when it comes to confidence and note if they teach you to be confident about yourself and what you can do. If you don’t have confident thoughts, you need to learn them and proactively use them every day.


As an example of confident thoughts, you might tell yourself that “Everything good comes to those who work for it, and I’m working for the good so I know I’ll receive good back to me.” You might also think that “I may not have my goals realized now but I am taking steps to make them happen, so I know I’m certain to have success.”


The more you repeat these confident thoughts, the more likely it is that you’ll learn to believe them. In turn you’ll feel confidence naturally and eventually won’t need to work so hard at creating it. This too is how the Law of Attraction works; if you put confidence into the universe, you’ll see it returned to you more naturally, and this starts with your thinking.



Go to your uncomfort zone. Often.


Step out of your comfort zone often. Remember that growth always happens in your uncomfort zone. If you stay in your comfort zone long enough, it can also become smaller. 


Explore and do things that you've never done before. Get new experiences. 


Start something new. Just get moving, take inspired action...! 


When you get more experiences from different things and at the same time learn how to get confidence, you start having strong faith in yourself in many new things. Every time you do something new, you become more confident.


Challenge yourself, even if you feel fear.


Start with taking one baby step at a time, it's always a step forward anyway. There will be setbacks from time to time, but don't let them put you down. When you get results, however small, you learn how to get confidence in other new things, as well.


How do you feel about exercising? Having a good physical condition is of course no guarantee of your confidence, but it definitely helps many people feel very good about themselves. 



Visualize.


Visualize yourself often as the person you want to be in the situations you desire to be in.


The "fake it till you make it" idea can be very useful when learning how to get confidence, because this way you visualize yourself as the person you want to be. As you practice it long enough, you'll eventually be the person you want to be.

Always note your past successes.


Utilize the confidence you've already experienced.


One reason that many people struggle to be confident is that they focus on past failures and ignore past successes. This in turn magnifies the negative and eliminates the positive. For yourself, be sure you do the opposite and emphasize your past successes. This is how to get confidence. Think of things you’ve done in the past and have been successful at and you’ll realize that you can achieve anything you set out to do, since you’ve already achieved so much!


You have experienced great moments of self confidence at some point in your life, right?


Now, recall those moments. See yourself in a situation in which you feel very self confident. Feel the great feeling of confidence. Where in your body do you feel it (your heart, chest, head...)?


These past successes don’t need to be monumental but can be anything that makes you feel good about yourself and what you can do. It might include taking certain classes, getting a promotion, handling a difficult project at the office, planning a big party, and so on. This is how to get confidence; you think about what you’ve done and this allows you more confidence about what you can do!


Remember this if you need to know how to get confidence. The Law of Attraction can work to make you feel and act more confident, but only if you take the initiative to put that confidence out there in the first place!


Think of a situation in which you would like to feel more confident.


Now, utilize the earlier great experience. Feel the confidence you felt back then and put it back in the same place where you felt it earlier. Feel that feeling and learn how to get confidence right now in this new situation.

Surround yourself with confident people.


As the Law of Attraction says that like attracts like, so you need to surround yourself with confident people to have your own confidence. This doesn’t mean people who are always 100% successful at what they do, but people who simply have confidence that they can try and do their best and that they will have good results and that things will work out. Confident people don’t let doubt and worry stop them from doing what they want even if they’ve experienced setbacks or challenges.


When you surround yourself with confident people you learn this same attitude and how to apply it to yourself. You can learn from them the right way to go about approaching those challenges and looking at setbacks you’ve suffered.


Remember too that since like attracts like, if you surround yourself with people who are full of worry and doubt and who hold themselves back from even trying to achieve their goals, you’ll learn their attitude instead. Rather than having confidence you’ll instead have doubt and fear and will always hesitate to move forward. This is not how to get confidence! Choose people who have the attitude you want and you’ll learn it from them quickly and easily.


You don't need to feel confident all the time. You need to feel uncertain at times, because otherwise you wouldn't know what it feels like to feel confident. So don't be too hard on yourself.
