How I met my husband
My personal testimony about the law of attraction is in how I met and married my husband of 15 years. I began to attend a local church with my young son, soon after divorcing my first husband. We had been attending the church classes each Sunday morning and one day when I walked in I noticed a man and woman were there who I had never seen before. The man smiled at me when I walked in, and I smiled back and my son and I went to sit in the back of the room. This same type of encounter happened over a period of a couple of weeks. But each week the man was seated next to the same woman, so I assumed of course that they were married/together.
A couple of months later, I began to attend a bible study class on weekday evenings and found that this man was also attending the class, but in these classes the woman was not present. We began to exchange hellos, but nothing further than that. Then one day, when talking with a church elder I found out a little more about this man and began to ask the elder a few questions about him. I found out that he was not married to the woman, but in fact they were only old friends and the woman was married to someone else. That then peaked my interest. The elder sensed that I was interested in learning more about this gentleman.
Once I learned the gentleman was not married, I began to fantasize about getting to know him better and having a relationship. I even started to say his name aloud in my home, in a sense to call him to me. Well a few days later, I received a call from this man, which totally took me by surprise and was so exciting. I later found out that the elder I had confided in had called him and let him know that I had expressed an interest in getting to know him.
And the rest, as they say, is history. We had what some would call a whirlwind courtship and he proposed to me after 7 months of us dating. We married the next year and have been married for 15 years and now have three beautiful children and are happy. The encounter that started with a smile, and progressed into professing what I wanted to the universe (saying his name out loud) has resulted in 15 years of a wonderful relationship.
