Good for the Body & Soul
I have always heard that once you start doing things for yourself, everything else will seem more meaningful and fall into place. I am a giver and am always out to do for other people. However, in May of this year I turned 34 and as I started looking at myself (inside and out), I realized that I am not what I want to be. So I made the decision that I was going to be "happy" by the time I turn 35 next year. So since June (it did take me a couple weeks to get myself in gear), I started exercising and dieting. Since then I have already lost 20 pounds on my body...and it also feels like I have lost at least that much in my mind and soul. As I see myself changing and becoming the person I want to be physically, I also am changing in my emotions and my thoughts on life. Just like I made the decision for me to get better physically...I am also getting better inside. I feel more happy and not to worry about things as much as I used to. I am learning that with hard work, persistence, and a little self love, I can smile and mean it. And as long as I continue to feel and do positive for myself, more positive is going to keep coming my way. Some days it isn't easy and it may take a while to get myself where I want to be...but I know it is out there, on it's way to me and I am loving every second of the journey!
