Ghajini

by Nalini Vittobane
(pondicherry, India.)

At the age of 13 i was highly impressed with Indian Tamil movie named Ghajini based on law of attraction. This movie conveyed the true feeling of love, affection and care in most attracting and emotional way. I was inspired by the heroine's role played in name of 'kalpana', who was portrayed as an ordinary girl, living a self-dependent life, showing immense love and affection for the blind and needy.

Kalpana's role in the movie brought out a drastic change in my life. She will lose her parents and live her life with small earnings obtained from being a model in an advertisement company which had no fame. Though she is not rich she will try to help out the poor and needy with the money she had. Chairman of a big MNC company named Sanjay will become her secret admirer. He will enter Kalpana's life as an ordinary guy and will fall in love with her. Kalpana will accept his love without knowing his background.

Kalpana played a courageous girl role with sweet naughty character still helping people wholeheartedly in every possible situation. She will help a blind to cross the road, she will also guide handicap children and street children.

The most ultimate touching scene was, Sanjay will say kalpana that he is leaving to his village to see his sick mother. Actually he will be planning to go for a meeting in a foreign country. But kalpana being so innocent and pure hearted will sell her second hand ambassador car to lend money to sanjay in order to use it for his mother's operation. On watching that scene i was emotionally touched to the core. Kalpana will travel in train where she will encounter a difficult situation of saving three girls from rowdies who were trying to kidnap them. At last she will be assassinated for protesting the villain. Kalpana's death brought in a deep pain within me. And she will never come to know the truth that Sanjay was a rich guy. Her intention will be pure love and affection. Though i knew it was just a movie i had a sleepless night that day on watching kalpana's death. There after i decided to live like kalpana, helping the poor and needy, showing unconditional love and care.
